The Resource Centre for Inclusion (CRI) aims to provide services to children and young people with special educational needs (SEN), in schools, in the community and social responses of Cercigui.
Its general objectives: providing different services therapies, prepare Programs Transition to adulthood (PIT), evaluate and intervene on Individual Education Programs (IEP), share information with families and establish partnerships with community institutions.
Develops its activities in the following places: Specialist Support Units to multiple disabilities rooms (UAEM);  Units Structured Teaching for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder rooms (UEEA); support rooms for special education in schools EB1 and EB23 support rooms; Centre for Rehabilitation and Training of Cercigui; centers of Occupational Activities Cercigui, community structures such as companies and public organizations; Cercigui's heated pool, public pools of Guimarães;
The CRI succeeded ECAI Project "Schools Cercigui in action and inclusion" which began in the academic year 2004/2005, under Ordinance 1102/97. Later the Law Decree 3/2008 of 7 January allowed the emergence of this new structure.
The CRI is accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science for this academic year 2013-2014 and the next 3 more years (until 2016-2017).
